The tech tests the system, shows you what failed and gives a flat price per option. You approve before any work starts.

How fast can Raber HVAC get to my house?
Book before 2 PM on a weekday and we aim for same day. Outside that, next morning is typical. No heat in freezing weather and no cool in a heat advisory move to the front of the list, and our emergency line is staffed around the clock.
Does Raber HVAC charge a diagnostic fee?
There is a flat diagnostic fee, quoted on the phone before we dispatch so there is no surprise at the door. If you approve the repair on that visit, the fee comes off the total.
Should I repair or replace my furnace?
Rough guide: if the unit is under twelve years old and the repair is less than a third of replacement cost, repair it. Past fifteen years, with a cracked heat exchanger or a failed compressor, replacement usually wins. We show you both numbers and let you decide.
What does a new furnace or air conditioner cost in the Cleveland area?
A straightforward furnace swap in a Cleveland area home typically lands in the low thousands, and a high efficiency furnace with a matched AC runs considerably more. Too much depends on ductwork, venting and sizing to quote honestly online, so we price it after we see the house.
How often should a furnace and air conditioner be serviced?
Twice a year is the standard: cooling in spring, heating in fall. If you only do one, do heating. The CDC recommends having your heating system, water heater and any other gas, oil or coal burning appliance serviced by a qualified technician every year, because combustion problems are the ones that turn into safety problems.
What HVAC brands does Raber HVAC service?
We service every major residential brand regardless of who installed it. For replacements we lead with equipment that has strong parts availability in Ohio, because a great unit you cannot get a board for on a Friday is not a great unit.
